1、有一种留学叫家长想让他留学，其实这类事情还是蛮多的。很多学生前期都没想着要出国的，回国直接就业不香、出去做什么，真的很好玩、考雅思不难、出国不孤单、学习没障碍、但金主家长们对孩子的教育投资实在是太激了，小到三岁萌娃，大到25岁大姑娘，家长表示这个事，还得管，还得操劳，还是要往上读一读，毕竟隔壁家的，亲戚家的。
2、同事家的某某小孩，他们是这所哪所名校毕业的，咱的孩子不能差咯。于是得读。然后家长们对喜欢的喜欢往往会脱离于孩子本身背景的上限，觉得自己的孩子是棒棒的，是优秀的，学校方面也要和别人家的孩子看齐。当然，也有少数家长很懂，会提前入场，了解很多，看很多科普，去论坛公众号以及某乎去了解一些学校质量，申请难度，比孩子自个还上心。
3、学校的特性有关，商科不去说，kcl整体还是偏人文的综合学校，商学院其实也是新开不久的，之前其实也就六七个传统课程，很久没翻新过。国际学生尤其是中国留学生申请多了，每年才追加的专业，然后成长到现在。他们以前还是LLM、社科、传媒、政治这类为主打的，当然更好的医学类这种大多中国学生也申不了，也没机会申。KCL这个学校之所以被这么多家长喜欢，大多还是因为地理位置的关系，伦敦毕竟是大多人心向往的城市。费用的话，如果只是一年，很多家长表示，没事，不设限。只要觉得值就可以。
4、整体来说，除了家长特别喜欢，很多学生也是大大的好感。我要说的是，曼大是值得这么多国内学生和家长去喜欢的，在这个学校留学1-4年，都是值得的。原因真的太多了，首先是学校厂牌带来的效用，无论留英找工作，还是毕业回国找工作，尤其是后者，曼大真的不差。反而因为校友力量过大，你的前辈往往也是这个学校的，校友总是能惺惺相惜的，就去四大啊，外企啊，真的都多。即使混的差了点，去干个留学中介，你去个曼大，你签单都能比其他老师要多。为啥？莫名的信任感，这个信任感是被曼大赋能的。
5、曼大是十项全能学校，就你要的专业他几乎都有，如果今年没有，明年也能帮你追开了，就是这么魔性。而且很能跟上主流，像今年不是要和kcl打擂，追开了文创和digital mkt课程吗。除了你爱的专业他都有，你想捡漏的方向他也都有，这个学校往上，可以学霸云集，往下，也可以收纳学酥。就你的我的他的，都有一席之地。这就很棒。再有就是排名，排名曼大也很抗揍，最强时刻冲到过前29的名次，即使掉，也是稳稳的前50。从回国落户，就业，考公等多角度来说，曼大舍他取谁，就这个学校满足各类学生喜好，不小众，蛮接地气。工科的可以继续他们的科研路线，商科的要quant的，曼大有。想泛商润一年，曼大也满足。英国奖学金很少，曼大整体来说，在奖学金的支出上是比较磅礴的。就是中国留学生不太申的到，这个有点难受。

Furthermore, by looking abroad students may find a wider range of courses than those offered in their country’s universities, and therefore one which fits more closely to their particular requirements.

On the other hand, studying abroad has a number of drawbacks. These may be divided into personal and professional. Firstly, students have to leave their family and friends for a long period. Furthermore, studying abroad is almost always more expensive than studying at one’s local university. Finally, students often have to study in a foreign language, which may limit their performance and mean they do not attain their true level.

In my opinion, however, the disadvantages of studying abroad are usually temporary in nature. Students who study abroad generally become proficient in the language quite soon and they are only away from their family and friends for a year or two. Furthermore, many of the benefits last students all their lives and make them highly desirable to prospective employers.
